Majeed S. Samara
Partner
Over 25 years of legal experience in criminal defense, representing clients in misdemeanors to serious felonies including drug cases, domestic violence, alcohol and driving offenses, attempted murder, and gun charges.
Education & Academic Background:
- 1981: Studied German at Goethe Institute (1 year)
- 1986: B.A. Political Science, UC Santa Barbara
- Spring 1987: Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel
- 1989: Juris Doctor (J.D.), UC Hastings College of the Law
- 2021-Present: Pursuing Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in International Relations, Harvard Extension School (Candidate, Spring 2026)
Clerked for U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Nevada Supreme Court Justice Charles Springer. Founded private practice in 1993.
Attorney Samara has conducted 50+ jury trials and numerous court trials, preliminary hearings, probation violation hearings, and DMV hearings. He has served as judge pro tem in Alameda and San Mateo Counties.

Jay Baik
Associate Attorney
Jay grew up in Buffalo, New York and graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in English Literature. Before law school, he worked as managing editor at a trade newspaper in New York City.
He earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2008 and joined the firm in 2009.
Jay handles state and federal felony and misdemeanor cases, as well as DMV matters and traffic violations. He is a board member of the Asian American Criminal Trial Lawyers Association and provides volunteer legal assistance.
Fatima Ragasa
Office Manager
Fatima is a Bay Area native from Daly City, California. She attended San Francisco State University from 1998-2003 and received a B.S. in Business with a concentration in Computer Information Systems.
She has been with the firm since 2003 as legal coordinator and office manager, managing the criminal, traffic, and DMV caseload with dedication and expertise.
